Different Note Shapes for Different Instruments

In the scrolling score of the Music Animation Machine, all the notes are the same shape: a horizontal bar. In the following animation:

  • the note shape for each instrument is different,
  • the shapes don't appear until they're first sounded,
  • the shapes are solid when the note is playing,
  • the shapes turn hollow and start shrinking when the note stops playing,
  • the shapes move to the left continuously.
