Different Note Shapes for Different Instruments
In the scrolling score of the Music Animation Machine, all the notes are the same shape: a horizontal bar. In the following animation:
the note shape for each instrument is different,
the shapes don't appear until they're first sounded,
the shapes are solid when the note is playing,
the shapes turn hollow and start shrinking when the note stops playing,
the shapes move to the left continuously.
The flute is round, the clarinet is a rhombus, and the bassoon is a rhombus with concave sides:
