One of the demonstration tapes I made went to Edward Tufte , author of my favorite book about visualizing data (here he is signing books at one of his wonderful seminars):
He encouraged me to mass-produce a video tape, offering to sell it and show examples at his presentations. After some arm-twisting, I agreed. The result of this has been that the Music Animation Machine has been seen by thousands (or, now that it's been on television , possibly millions) of people.
